Aggregates

Recycled aggregates are the result of processing rock, rubble, bricks, concrete and other materials, usually following demolition.

Within an aggregate screening processes a wide variety of mixed waste can be inputted at the beginning.

Aggregate screening then involves crushing and screening of the mixed waste and then the removal of contaminants such as metal, wood, plastics and other items, usually by magnets and air separation.

The remaining materials are then sorted by size and they may be reduced further, to create fines.

These recycled aggregates are then used for sale or disposed of cost-effectively.

Users are demolition companies and waste management companies as well as others involved in the construction industries.
